ABOUT US
The goal of both Ella and Julia Homes is to live up to the motto "Leave No Soldier Behind." Ella and Julia Veteran Homes are both located in Akron Ohio. Our homes are fully furnished with appliances including washer and dryer. We are on the bus line and transportation can be arranged upon request. Ella and Julia Veteran Homes are places where we place high value on our residents independence, friendships and healthy lifestyle. Our homes are staffed around the clock. Our mission is to enrich our residents with a wonderful experience by providing opportunities for active, engaged, and purposeful living. This benefits not just our residents, but also their families, our staff, and the greater community as a whole.
OUR SERVICES
What We Offer
We offer safe and clean housing to our residents. Three meals will be provided daily. Both homes have central air conditioning for those hot sunny days. Residents will have access to their own bedroom with a keyed lock. There will be games provided and books to read. Our homes include a TV in the living room with cable, phone and Wi-Fi. We also have a fenced in backyard with a smoking area. The activities provided to our residents will include Vocational Training, such as learning how to build bird houses and dog houses, which will be donated to a good cause. While enjoying the outdoors at Julia House, we have implemented a Victory Garden where you can learn to grow your own vegetables and herbs. We are passionate about providing a myriad of opportunities for our residents to make new memories and new friends, with a special focus on PTSD and other obstacles facing veterans returning to civilian life.
